Circular Economy: an economic and environmental opportunity for Switzerland?
A multitude of good circular economy practices exist and are being developed in Switzerland. The challenge lies in sharing and communicating these practices and in the necessary evolution of the framework conditions to meet the current and future challenges of natural resource consumption.
This thematic dossier, produced in partnership with CleantechAlps and with the support of Rytec, presents the issues, challenges, good practices and concrete and inspiring business models in terms of the circular economy.
After a first part that presents the concept of the circular economy, its strengths and limitations, a second chapter presents the current political and economic context in Switzerland. The central part of this dossier focuses on seven sectors of the Swiss economy: food, construction, consumer goods, machinery, luxury goods and watches, finance and tourism.
