Career

Esther joined Sofies in 2018. She is involved in the fields of sustainable production, land management and resource development.

After her studies at ETH Zurich and a year of research on contaminated sites, Esther worked at the Swiss Federal Laboratory for Materials Science and Technology (Empa) as a project manager and researcher in the field of ICT and sustainability. In addition, she combined her work at Empa with a thesis at the TU Clausthal.

Esther has more than 10 years of experience in research and implementation of sustainable solutions with a particular focus on e-waste management and circular economy approaches, at the scale of a value chain or territory.

… Outside the office 

Esther loves ultimate frisbee, skiing, snowboarding and getting to know new places and cultures while traveling in her camper van.
