Mariana DAYKOVA

Mariana has more than 10 years’ experience in the renewable energy sectors of developing and transitional economies.  

Prior to joining Sofies, she has been a consultant, project manager, and manager for various organizations working on scaling up small-scale and off-grid renewable energy in Eastern and Southern Africa, SE and Central Asia, and Eastern Europe. She has worked extensively with international donors and NGOs, international and local financial institutions, off-grid clean technology providers, consultancies, project developers, and academia. 

Mariana is a Certified Expert in Climate and Renewable Energy Finance (Frankfurt School – UNEP Collaborating Centre.), MSc in Carbon Management (University of Edinburgh), and a double Bachelors in International Business (CEU Business School and Universita Bocconi). She is a member of the Emerging Leaders in Environmental and Energy Policy (ELEEP) network of the Atlantic Council.
